The predicament of the leftist individual is to see the world as hideously unfair and to see herself as The One responsible for stopping wickedness by at least standing in its way. Without irony, this responsibility is considered a heavy burden, carried virtuously and with pained dignity like Jesus with his cross.
Unlike Jesus, the long-suffering leftist periodically unburdens her titanic hatred upon her unjust targets via bad intentions, online slacktivism, foul language, and increasingly, physical violence. The addictive substance is control. Leftists transparently desire despotic authority over others and will screech in craven fits like spoiled toddlers when it is not granted to them with a gold bow on top. Because they don't believe in the existence of God/gods, blowback for one's foul intentions and deeds is seen as disappearing into a great, random void of atheist space, therefore no shaping of one's intentions is necessary. Look at any leftist group and you will reliably find the majority to be sick, malnourished via obesity or anorexia, immune-compromised, stressed out, anxious, and eerily accident prone. The same leftists, especially if they claim to be witches, will pretend blowback does not exist, or at least it doesn't for them. Yet haven't they been wishing the very ailments they suffer from upon Random Populist Leader (Trump, Boris Johnson, Bolsonaro) and his family for years? Isn't it uncanny that leftists suffer from almost every malady they've wished on Trump and his family short of death? Wouldn't it make sense to consider opposing viewpoints instead of spending the lion's share of one's time in perennial hysteria over the other side's alleged malevolence? Why maintain a fruitless addiction to exerting control over other people that completely does not work and that leaves you in a state of exhaustion, misery, and sickness?

The Millennial cashier at one of the few fast-casual restaurants open for a sit-down meal fumed and nearly spat into her mask; she couldn't look at me. At the hardware store, a Gen Z cashier was so incensed, he impudently slammed our merchandise into bags and acted like he was about to jump over the counter to throttle me, a petite 4'11" woman of middle age. Later that week, Jessica Doty Whittaker, age 24, was shot in the face and killed for saying "all lives matter" in front of a group of Black Lives Matter activists, orphaning her young son. I vowed not to wear the shirt in public again.
Black clad Antifa gangs physically attacked peaceful protestors in 2017 in Berkeley, and "beat them bloody" according to BerkeleySide.com. Andy Ngo, an unassuming, 165 pound gay Asian journalist, was nearly beat to death by Portland Antifa in 2019. Ngo lived to tell the tale but suffered a brain hemorrhage. Antifa members shouted "no hate, no fear" while beating Ngo to the ground and spraying various liquids in his blackened eyes.
While conservatives were being violently assaulted for exercising their free speech, leftists I knew insisted "I don't think about Trump all the time", but their well-populated social media feeds told a different tale. Wiser souls than I stayed out of it and did not question leftist narratives, especially not when the #metoo women's movement blew back in the form of Biden forcibly penetrating Tara Reid's intimate parts with his fingers and when Black Lives Matter engaged in the wholesale slaughter of black men, women, and children during its riots. None dare to call it what it is for fear of being doxxed, stalked, or murdered by the self-proclaimed righteous Good People. Just as Joel Osteen and Benny Hinn cannot look in the mirror and admit their lifestyles are more amenable to Lucifer's than they are to the other side, the Left fails to see its capitulations to tyranny, depravity, and megalomania.
I fully admit that all of the above could be normal human stupidity, no demonic assistance necessary. I wish I did not need to repeat this so often but I COULD BE WRONG. Nevertheless, just as Jung speculated in his 1936 essay Wotan that the German people had been gripped by a consciousness larger than that of normal human beings, I am suggesting it might be worth investigating the possibility of large and malignant entities jerking formerly sane mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters around like puppets on a string.

Why are we defunding police? Because policing is one of the handful of decent jobs you can still get without a college degree. What do our young activists want to do with the police budget? Hire social workers! It is amazing how many young activists have degrees in social work...
Why are we fighting, against all evidence, to keep schools closed? With schools closed, you don't need bus drivers, teachers' aides, lunch ladies, or custodians. With all that money freed up in the budget, you can hire more IT professionals, diversity specialists, and... probably social workers.
It's a job war. The white-collar, college-educated segment of the population is multiplying, and the resources to support them are shrinking. And they are revolting: against each other, and against the working classes. The more ambitious of them want Andrew Sullivan's job, or Bari Weiss' job. You don't have to compete on talent, if you can hamstring the next guy above you. The less ambitious just want the $$ that's currently paying people they deem less important (by virtue of being less credentialed) than themselves.
None of this, of course, is incompatible with demonic influence. Once you decide you're more important than everyone else, or put yourself in a position where you're trying to slice the legs out from under your workplace competition, but pretending you're doing it for the benefit of oppressed minorities everywhere... perhaps you leave yourself open to it. I think it's both. And probably a few other things.

The difference between me and these people is that I admit it and don't pretend I'm entirely self-made. They love to claim they hit a homer when they were actually born on third base. Not one of the people I grew up with thinks of themselves as rich. Because they don't have Kardashian money and because they can hold down a job if they so choose, they think of themselves as middle class. They idealize hard work they're not willing to do. They're secretly terrified of the random cashier at the grocery store and the Puerto Rican dude who hooked up their internet. They want to impress working class people and don't understand that their niceness is condescending and only lasts as long as it takes for part of the service transaction to go wrong: it is a thin veneer.
Your theory also perfectly explains why they are/were so obsessed with Bernie Sanders and free college & medical care. Half of colleges and universities are probably going to collapse in the next ten years, and the COVID panic they themselves created is forming a tsunami of blowback. Colleges are the pricey hotels on the shoreline: they're toast. There goes all of those jobs as well as a huge chunk of the narrative "you've got to go to college so you can push pencils like your parents". "Free medical care" is Bulls**tese for government financing the current medical racket. Medicine is a joke these days. Doctors are NOT heroes. They have not been heroes for a very long time. I don't respect doctors: they are the modern equivalent of the sleazy used car salesman, except the used car salesman isn't going to TRY to get you maimed or killed. I wander through the gargantuan complex (the size of a small city) that passes for a hospital in my town and I see a money machine built with the intention of keeping everyone who walks into it sick and ignorant. That said, every now and then, doctors truly know what they are doing. Those few are lifesavers and heroes and deserve high praise and decent compensation. The majority are low level grifters and clueless trash.

If I get appendicitis or break my leg, I'll risk their intervention... for everything else, probably better off self-treating. I've even learned to use super-glue for things that would have got stitches when I was a kid! My experience with doctors has been abysmal: their main approach to patients seems to be "How can I make this person feel stupid for bothering me and go away?" I don't feel the need to tolerate that kind of treatment anymore. The last time I really needed help with a chronic problem, I went to a chiropractor. We had a spirited debate about diagnosis and treatment options, and I walked out with a workable strategy for addressing it. Haven't been back since, because now I have a strategy I can use without repeatedly seeing the good doc :) For most things, I poke around on the internet to understand the problem better, ask an herbalist friend about it, pray, and then do whatever seems most likely to help, and least likely to cause harm. And that rarely involves pharmaceuticals. So far, so good.

I also have a difficult time taking advice from doctors who have obviously trashed whatever health they had to begin with because Western medicine these days is the blind leading the blind. Just as I don't go visiting pedophile ex-priests at the local prison for moral advice, I don't care to consult prescription drug addicted nutrition ignoramuses about how to care for my mortal body. Doctors are typically only required 1.5 hours of nutrition courses in medical school. My husband once had a doctor who told him with a straight face that diet has nothing to do with health. It wasn't the first time he was told something like that from a doctor's mouth. This isn't health advice, but there are supplements and herbs that work wonders for my baseline health. Zinc gluconate lozenges or echinacea if allergies or bad or immunity is down, 1 - 2K of vitamin C if I'm peeing too much, calcium on my teeth and gums at night to prevent my teeth from rotting out. There's dozens of other little habits, extremely mild exercise, and one big health secret is cooking meals at home: they're more etherically valuable than the alternatives. But then we are getting into subtle aspects of health they completely don't understand, because no doctor I've met save my acupuncturist knows what the etheric plane is or does.

It isn't even new information, the word of Bill Clinton's presence on the Lolita Express is very very old news that came out in Epstein's original trial.
Considering how these same people are very quick to dismiss the way Joe Biden sniffs and touches little girls and grown women both, and to cover up for him, it may even be fair to say that in reality these average every day people don't actually have a problem with pedophilia. Certainly they don't have enough of a problem with it to want to ensure people they like are held to account for it.

Revealed preferences are a dicey game to play at, and I try not to rely on them too much since the presumption can leave out mitigating factors. In this case I do think it's justified, and not just about pedophelia.
It's kind of the same way in which old neo-liberals, and increasingly far leftists, have been willing to turn a blind eye to the literal genocide, organ harvesting, and concentration camps that China subjects its Uhygur population to. To me, knowing this and all the other myriad means of abuse that government heaps on its subjects while simultaneously defending them or playing coverup for them, in order to push an Anti-Trump agenda shows a revealed preference for genocide and dictatorship on other continents if it means you can dunk on orange man and keep getting cheap items. It shows that in the end, they don't actually care that much about these things.
That's the parallel I draw. It's not that I proclaim that they support democratic pedophelia, it's more that their revealed preferences show that they just simply don't care about it. It's not their problem, and until it's made their problem there's no reason to want the injustice corrected, especially if they might lose something to the other team in the process.

How much do you know about the history of the Iberian peninsula? I think that aside from the Spanish Inquisition and the fact that Queen Isabella gave Columbus a bunch of money to go find India, and then set up a ton of missions, that a lot of people don't really know much about it.
I'd like to reflect back on a long gone state entity known as Al-Andalus. This state occupied almost the entirity of what we know today as Spain and Portugal. It was formed in merely 11 years as Berbers crossed over from Africa and swept the entire area, subjugating its existing peoples descended from the Visigoths. So things remained for centuries until a combination of internal struggles in Al-Andalus combined with a resistance from Pelayo and his crew began a slow, centuries long quest to drive the Muslims back out of Iberia.
My question, primarily aimed at the modern left: Is this decolonization? Is this a good thing? If not, why not? Was there a statute of limitations that the old Spaniards had to act within? The NYTimes just recently posted the opinion of a brown woman who says that she herself is a monument to slavery and that she has "rape colored skin." Can she not equally say the same of every brown skinned Spaniard alive today, descended from the Berbers?
In this light, *should* she or anyone following their line of thought have any problem with what the Spaniards and the Portuguese did up until 1492? Should they even have a problem with the Spanish Inquisition? By their logic, should Spain and Portugal in 2020, keep Reconquista going? Should they rest until every mosque is torn down or converted into a Church? Should they rest until every Berber descendant has been held to account for their ancestors actions? Is or was there a point at which the colonial legacy from Al-Andalus should no longer be rooted out? If so, what is that point? If not, why not?

At some point, every single one of us has rape colored skin. Many human males, much like the males of other species right down to ducks and bedbugs, enjoy rape.

People who would never consider looking at a child in a sexual way will end up as casualties if such a scourge ever comes to pass. People I like or love will be in mortal danger simply for getting in the way of the unleashed homicidal mobs.
