Wow. Reminds me of what John Michael Greer is talking about when he mentions a certain passage from Faust.
Faust asks Mephistopheles how a devil can be outside of hell.
Mephistopheles replies "Hell? I was never out of it". Because when you lower yourself to the basest, crudest forms of existence in the lust for power, you don't need to go to Hell to get to that nasty level... it comes to you first.
As for the witches, how odd that they fixate on Odin. Why not Zeus? Zoroaster? Are they vegans? If not, they're partaking in the products of domesticated cows. I don't think they're talking to Freya, either.
